At Suffolks, we identify opportunities within our curriculum for children to learn about the importance of safeguarding.
Our broad curriculum provides a range of opportunities for our children to experience life in all of its diversity and to prepare themselves as global citizens in the future. We aim to ensure that our curriculum allows our children to acquire knowledge, understanding and the skills needed for personal development, welfare and the behaviour required for personal safeguarding.
Our RSHE curriculum (JIGSAW) covers all elements of safeguarding through each of the evidence informed units of work. We plan to constantly challenge children to think deeply about safeguarding matters and their own personal, physical and mental wellbeing. We value pupils’ questions and give them space for their own thoughts, ideas, and concerns during our values assemblies and circle times.
